The mind-body-spirit connection is crucial in total wellness, The Therapy Center helps you achieve congruence in your wellness journey by focusing on relational and emotional health. Emotional wellness with self and others translates into better overall health and wellness. Our clinicians provide therapy services for individuals, couples, and families, and also facilitate therapy groups. We work with clients of all backgrounds and ages, utilizing proven theories and methods. We offer both in-person and virtual services.

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, a client and therapist work together to move towards completing the client’s goals for themselves. Individual therapy can move into couple and/or family therapy when this is required to achieve the client’s goal for seeking therapy.

Relationship Readiness Program

Individuals desiring to assess their readiness for building a healthy relationship with a partner in the near future, take the READY assessment and work with a relationship counselor/coach to explore issues that may have an impact on relationship satisfaction. Issues like upbringing/ background, communication skills, personality/values, family and friend support, childhood experiences, and conflict resolution skills are assessed for strength and growth areas.

Through our Relationship Readiness Program, awareness is raised regarding emotional deficits that lead to dysfunctional relationships. The goal of the program is to improve resilience, self-esteem, self-awareness, and the ability to find and maintain healthy relationships.

Premarital Counseling / Marital & Family Therapy

Premarital Counseling

Our premarital work offers recipients insight into their personalities, family of origin issues, and relational patterns as we explore both their strengths and areas of improvement. We help couples better understand some of the realities of married life, develop a better understanding of each other, identify potential problem points, and learn some of the skills needed to manage conflict and build a happy and successful life together. We use the Prepare-Enrich Inventory to develop a customized counseling plan implemented by a trained facilitator.

Group Facilitation

Arukah Counseling Center offers short and long-term counseling groups to organizations and churches. Group counseling can be helpful both as a sole form of therapy and when used as a supplement to individual therapy. Most groups meet regularly, once or twice weekly, in sessions that last from one to two hours. Arukah serves the community by offering educational seminars on various mental health and related topics (understanding neurodevelopmental challenges, parenting topics, understanding addictions, coping with crisis & loss, work-life balance, etc.). When conducted by our interns, these are provided at no cost to the host and are developed with the participation of HFI Clinicians. Our psychoeducational services can be either onsite or online. Marriage Enrichment Mentoring Groups

Marriage Enrichment Mentoring Groups (MEMEGs) are designed for couples, led by couples, and provide opportunities for couple dialogue and ongoing relational growth. The group is facilitated by a Leader Couple who has been trained through the Healthy Family Institute Couple Mentor Program. MEMEGs is an ongoing psychoeducational small group that provides a safe place for couples to learn, and explore their relationship among supportive peers. The goal is to help couples strengthen and grow their relationship. The groups are either onsite or online.
